マイチューターでは、帰国子女中学受験の面接でよく聞かれる質問を使い講師がそれぞれの質問の答え方を指導します。

よく聞かれる質問と求められる回答とは


どんな質問でも、共通して気をつけたいこと


帰国生入試の指導をしたことがある先生によると、学校によって多少質問に特徴はあるけれど、準備するべき質問はほとんど一緒だということです。受験する学校に問わず、以下でご紹介しているの質問の回答は準備しておきましょう。


どの学校でも、帰国生入試というからには、周りの受験生も皆海外に住んだことがある人ばかり。英語が話せる、海外に住んでいたということ以外にも、自分の個性として話すことを考えておくことをお勧めします。

質問の例 1:  What do you value most in your friendships?


回答例:   In my friendships, I value trust and kindness the most. I think it’s important to be there for each other in good times and bad. I also appreciate friends who can challenge me and help me grow.


これらの回答では以下のポイントを考慮しています:

せっかくの休みに好きな仲間と旅行やショッピング、ドライブに行っても、

帰りに渋滞にハマってしまうと疲れがドッと増して車内の空気も

どんより重くなりますよね。


今回はそんな「渋滞」を表すスラング ”bumper-to-bumper ”をご紹介します


bumper とは車の前後にあるバンパーです。

車のバンパーとバンパーがくっついてしまいそうなほどの大渋滞、という意味です。
