スピーチの考慮時間（1分間）
渡されたトピックカードには５つのトピックが書かれています。
まずすべきなのは、自分に最も合ったトピックを素早く（10秒～15秒）で選ぶことです。
トピックの選択に時間をかけてはいけません。時間は最大限、スピーチの組み立てに使いましょう。
●トピックを選ぶポイント
- これまで取り組んだことがある、知識があるもの
- これまで取り組んだ事や知識があることにに似ている、論点が使えそう
- トピックを見た時に2つ位の根拠、論点がパット浮かぶもの
●スピーチの組み立て
トピックを決めた後は、自分の意見は賛成(Yes）なのか反対(No）なのかを決めて、
その理由を2つほど用意する。
理由は1つか3つでもいいですが、1つの場合はよほど上手く整理してまとめないと、
2分間の中ではだらだらと思いつくまま話しがちになります。
3つの場合は、時間内におさめようとすると1つ1つのポイントが薄くなりがちです。
理由が２つ思いついたら、その具体例と根拠をぼんやりでいいので思い浮かべる
本番スピーチ（2分）
1．スピーチのポイント
あえて、使い慣れていない、難しい単語を使わない事
英検2級程度の単語、表現で十分です。
早口になって不明瞭にならないよう、ゆっくりと明確に話す。
リラックスした態度や笑顔で面接官の目を見てはなす。
2．スピーチの構成
スピーチの構成は① 導入 ② 本論 ③ 結論で進めていきます。 ライティングと
似ていますが、本論の理由はライティングでは3つと決まっていますが、スピーチでは
特に決まりはありません。 ただし、２つが適当と思います。
① 導入 Introduction
自分の意見 YesかNo

I believe that… / I don’t believe that…

② 本論 Body
理由① 根拠、具体例

3．スピーチの時間
2分前後で終わるのがベストですが、
短すぎるのは理想的ではありません。
1分40秒に満たない場合は減点の対象になることもあるので注意してください。
多少時間が過ぎても減点になりませんが、
2分経つとピッピッと音が鳴らされるので、そこからはさっさと話しを終わらせるように
しましょう。 2分経過後スピーチを続けると途中で面接官に止められることもあるので
注意が必要です。
質疑応答 （4分）
2分間のスピーチが終わると面接官からトピックに関連した質問をされます。
面接官からの質問に対する回答は、以下の点に注意してください。
① 結論 + 根拠、具体例（サポートセンテンス）
② Yes / Noを問われる場合はYes / Noを始めに述べる
③ その後に、自分の意見をサポートする根拠となる理由や具体例などを付け足す
④ 1文で回答するのではなく、2文から3文くらいを目安に回答する
⑤ 面接官の質問を正確に聞き取ること
聞き取れずに的外れな答えをすると減点対象になりかねません。
⑥ 難しい質問をされても、できるだけシンプルな表現で答える
賢い回答をしようとせずに自分の意見を素直に述べることが大切です。
⑦ 個人的な経験談よりも一般的な考えとして話すほうが良い
⑧ 反論する質問が来た場合は、面接官の意見も受け入れつつ落ち着いて、自分の意見をやんわり主張しましょう。
真っ向から戦うのではなく、話し合う雰囲気が大事になります。
⑨ 質問されてすぐに回答できない場合、間を空けないように、つなぎ言葉を覚えておきましょう。

⑩ 質問が聞き取れない場合は？聞き返しは1回までOKです。
それ以上聞き返すのは減点対象になりますので注意してください。
ただし、減点覚悟で2回聞くことも的外れな答えを避けるために、質問を確認することも大切です

pound the pavement 仕事を探す
「 仕事を探す 」って英語ではどう言うんでしょか？
アメリカでは ” pound the pavement ” といいます。
例文
Bob had to pound the pavement for three months before he found a job.
ボブは仕事が見つかるまで３ヶ月も仕事を捜してた。
“pound the pavement” は、例えば、仕事を探してあちこち会社を回るなど、
何かを成し遂げるために、活動的に場所や人を訪ねて出かける、という意味です。
「（足で）歩道をたたく」が直訳で、 ‘hit the pavement’ とも言います。
特に「職探し」を意味することが多いですが、「新規契約を求めて」「（選挙の）
票を求めて」人や会社を訪ねて回ることを指すこともあります。
日本語に「足で稼ぐ」という言葉がありますが、イメージ的はこれに近い感じがします。

シヌログ祭は、フィリピン最大級のお祭りと言われ、年に一度、1月にセブ島で開催されるキリスト教のお祭りです。
開催中はセブ島の全域でがパレードの騒音と交通渋滞があり、中でも第3日曜日はメインパレードが開催され、通勤ができない事に加え騒音でレッスンに支障があるため一部講師が休講となります。

シヌログ祭とは
シヌログ祭は毎年300万人近くの人で賑わうお祭りで、2022年も1月16日（第3日曜）にメインパレードの開催が決定しました。
ダンスパフォーマンスやコンテストなど、多彩な魅力と合わせて2021年のシヌログ祭情報をご紹介します。
もともと幼きイエス「サントニーニョ」を称えてお祝いを始めたのがお祭りの根源。サントニーニョ像は大航海時代にマゼランがセブ島に上陸した際、当時のセブ島の王様へ贈ったものとされています。
その後、戦時中にもかかわらずサントニーニョ像だけは被害を免れてきたことから、奇跡のシンボルとして人々に崇められています。
シヌログ祭では、現地の人たちがサントニーニョ像を模した人形を持って、パレードで行進、踊っている様子を見かけるでしょう。キリスト教信者が9割近くを占めるセブ島では、シヌログ祭は年に1度のビッグイベントなんです！
