「 その話はナシ 」って英語ではどう言うんでしょうか？
アメリカでは ” Don’t go there ” といいます。
例文
A: Honey, what is going on with your ex?
「あなた、前の奥さんとどうなっているの？」
B: I told you about her. Please don’t go there.
「彼女の事は話しただろう。」
「頼むからその話はしないでくれよ。」
物理的に”そこへ行くな” という意味ではありません。”そこ”とはつまり、触れて欲しくない
話題のことを指しています。”そこ”に話を持っていこうとしてもダメだぞ、とい
う意味で、口論になった時などにもよく使います。
たとえば、仕事がうまくいってないときに「How’s work?（仕事はどうなの？）」と
聞かれて「Don’t go there.（その話はやめよう）」とうように使います。
