▮ miniエッセイの構成
TOEFLスピーキング Independent Task スコアアップの方法として、
mini エッセイを作る練習をお勧めします。
エッセイの構成は
Introduction (序論)➡ Body (本論)➡ Conclusion (結論)となりますが、
Independent Taskでは、解答時間はわずか45秒ですから、
Introduction とconclusionは一行程度であっても構いません。 
構成についてもう少し説明しますと、
▮Introduction (序論)
設問から15秒で自分の考えと話の構成をまとめ（準備期間）、
Introduction部分で解答していきます。
Introductionでは、自分の考えと、これから話す自分の考えを、
どのように明確にしていくかを明言します。
これは、エッセイにおけるThesis statement（意見表明）と呼ばれます。
▮Body （本論）
ここでは、Introductionのなかで明言したthesis statementを
具体的な例を挙げながら、
自分の考えを説明していくところとなります。
▮Conclusion (結論)
エッセイの最後のところです。
ここで結論を論理的に、力強く、確実に述べていきます。

設問
解答例
上の解答例は以下の理由で高得点が期待できます。
- What
設問が要求している内容に対してすべて完全に答えられている。
- How
基本的な文法・語彙力がある。 不適切な語彙表現がほとんどない。
- Why
的確な解答が、明瞭に表現されており、首尾一貫した流れになっている。
トピックの展開がIntroduction〜conclusion まで上手く流れている。
For example, Also, As you can see, など、つなぎ語も適切に使われています。
解答の理由も具体的な例を挙げながら２つ述べられています。
解答理由 ： encourage、inspire
具体的な例： Living with an American family / Mother wanted to work.
Conclusionで、解答をさらに強く確信して結論としている。

以下の設問をminiエッセイで解答してみてください。
- What is your favorite place to visit on weekends? Describe it and explain why it is your favorite place to go.
- What is your happiest childhood memory? Describe it and give reasons to explain why it is your happiest memory.
- What is your favorite book or movie? Describe it and say why it is your favorite.
- What is your favorite style of clothing? Describe it and explain why it is your favorite.
- What is your favorite season of the year? Describe the season and explain why you like it so much.
